ANSWERS TO POPULAR QUESTIONS
What type of files will I get with the guitar plans?
You will get access to a ZIP file immediately after purchase.
If you purchase a CAD guitar plan, your ZIP file will include both a DWG and DXF file. You get both formats so you can decide which one you prefer to work with.
If you purchase a PDF guitar plan, your ZIP file will include one or more PDF files. You can print these on your own printer as a poster or take it to a print and copy service, like Kinko's, and have the PDF printed on a Size E sheet.
How soon can I get the guitar plans after I purchase them?
The files will be available for download immediately after your payment is processed. If you need a file saved in a format of AutoCAD earlier than version 2004, just contact us after purchase. Please allow us 1-2 business days to process. Special requests and custom orders will take longer.
Are your guitar plans copyright protected?
Yes. These are copyright protected CAD drawings. You may use them for yourself and make copies for yourself as a backup file. But you may not sell them, and you may not give copies to anyone else for free.
These CAD plans are manually drawn and use our signature layout design. They are not scanned images. Each plan is drawn to scale based on the most popular guitar designs on the market today.
Copyright infringement is a serious crime punishable by severe fines and imprisonment. And you may be held liable under both civil and criminal law. So use the plans for yourself, but don't make copies to give or sell to others.
Do You Sell Printed Guitar Plans?
No. With digital PDF or CAD files, there is no reason to buy printed drawings. You can easily print out these files yourself using your own printer. They are extremely versatile.
Take them to your local printer service, like Kinko's, and have them printed. Or print out the entire file as a poster on multiple sheets, or print out only the sections that you need.

Our experience with your CAD guitar plan files has been excellent. We were able to build some additional guitars in the last two years, that while I could have eventually gotten around to creating the CAD files for them, it was much quicker to use your service and adjust the files to our needs.
We have 2 CNC units. Using your CAD guitar plans has allowed us to continue to expand our product line. Plus, just in general, your site has been easy to work with.

The files from CAD Guitar Plans have been great!
The files enabled us to send it directly to the laser cutter with minor set up because of the closed polylines and offset. With the drawings already done, we are able to direct our attention to the more productive task of building guitars.
Accuracy and detail are found throughout each guitar plan.
We've been extremely pleased with the quality of these drawings that help us build our beautiful, handmade guitars.

Thanks again for your quality plans. I teach high school woodworking and have 2 classes dedicated to guitar making, a total of 51 students.
The digital plans make it so much easier – and more accurate – to be able to print off a pattern rather than redraw it 51 times.
